Crossing the Ts and Dotting the Is: Effective Presentations in English
The workshop comprises areas such as preparation, structure and delivery of professional presentations, non-verbal means of communication, effective signposting of presentations, choosing means of expression, dos and don’ts, tailored delivery, saying numbers in English, expressing change and developments correctly and effectively, presenting graphs and charts, formal and informal presentation, specialized presentation terminology, responding to questions and hostile comments, etc.
Elements of relevant grammar can be included as required.
The primary emphasis of the workshop will be on the practical implementation of the information and skills acquired in its first part. Individually or in small groups, the participants will hereby be required to prepare and deliver presentations. These will be captured on video, the recordings subsequently to be utilized in the feedback sessions included at the end of each presentation.
Handouts will be provided.
Intermediate English is a minimum requirement.
