Ken Doctor in our Webinar series “Innovation Tuesday” – fjum’s crowdsourcing experiment

Our next guest on June 12th will be Ken Doctor, he is the author of “Newsonomics: Twelve New Trends That Will Shape the News You Get,” which has been translated in Mandarin Chinese, Korean and Portuguese. He contributes to his own Newsonomics.com website, writes a weekly column for the Nieman Journalism Lab and works as an affiliate analyst for Outsell.

As an analyst, consultant and speaker, he works with media globally, advising on new sustainable business models of contemporary journalism. In that work, he focuses on the many issues and opportunities of the transformation of the news media, as it moves from print and broadcast to digital. His twin concerns: the new business models in creation and the journalism they offer for communities and societies overall.

A veteran of the digital news industry, he combines deep experience as an executive in news strategy, revenue models and journalism. His experience includes 21 years with Knight Ridder, as well as time spent in the worlds of magazines, alternative journalism and syndication.

The “Innovation Tuesday” is a “Pay-What-You-Want” or “Pay with a Tweet” format.

A webinar is a live online seminar that connects all participants via audio, video and chat. Required are a fast computer and a stable broadband internet connection. The use of headsets and webcams is recommended. For this webinar the latest version of Adobe Connect will be used.
