His work, internationally syndicated through Tribune Media Services, regularly appears in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The International Herald Tribune, Newsweek, Time Magazine and Business Week Magazine. It has also been featured on national news programs (Larry King Live, 60 Minutes, 20/20, The Rachel Maddow Show, Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show and others.)
In 1990, Mr. Lowe was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. His work has won the Green Eyeshade Award, as well as the National Press Foundation’s Berryman Award. He has been awarded multiple first prizes in editorial cartooning from the Sunshine State Awards, the Florida Press Club, and the Florida Society of News Editors. His popular daily blog, The Lowe Down, has won writing awards from the Sunshine State Awards, the Florida Press Club, and the Southeastern Regional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists in Atlanta.
Since 1997, Mr. Lowe has been an adjunct professor at Williams College, where he has taught a course in editorial cartooning. He lectures internationally on social and political topics.
