Ken Doctor in our Webinar series “Innovation Tuesday” – fjum’s crowdsourcing experiment: Our next guest on June 12th will be Ken Doctor, he is the author of “Newsonomics: Twelve New Trends That Will Shape the News You Get,” which has been translated in Mandarin Chinese, Korean and Portuguese. He contributes to his own website, writes a weekly column for the Nieman Journalism Lab and works as an affiliate analyst for Outsell.

Data.Journalism! Conference & Workshops, Vienna, 14 -15 June 2012: fjum and the European Journalism Centre are pleased to invite journalists and media professionals to a two-day data journalism event where they can learn from international experts how to get started with data journalism and develop the skills they need to succeed in the field.

Advanced Social Media Workshop with Sree: SREE SREENIVASAN (@sree) is a professor and dean of students affairs at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where he teaches in the digital media program, including social media and digital entrepreneurship. He will teach advanced social media for journalists.

The Journalistic Interview: Journalist and professor Peter Laufer uses, studies and teaches interview. His many nonfiction books are researched via immersion in his source material and subsequent conversational interviews. As a talk radio practitioner, his programs are the result of extemporaneous interviews. He will teach devices to elicit the unexpected from the most guarded and reserved interviewees.
