Background
China’s international involvement has been increasing for the past decades, and the coronavirus pandemic has enabled the Beijing authorities to rapidly augment their international visibility through the international medical assistance: donating and selling medical equipment, sending out doctors to advice on the best measures to fight the pandemic, etc.

What is the official agenda behind the new approach and how is it presented to the Chinese audience?
