Ali Žerdin has been the editor at Saturday supplement of Slovenian
daily Delo since 2010. He worked as journalist and editor-in-chief at
Student Radio (1985-1989), journalist and deputy editor at weekly
magazine Mladina (1989-2006), editor at Saturday supplement Objektiv of
daily newspaper Dnevnik (2006-2009) and editor-in-chief at daily
newspaper Dnevnik (2009-2010).
He studied sociology at Faculty for Social Science in Ljubljana and holds a PhD in sociology (2012).
Žerdin
is the author of numerous books: Slovenian Spring (1992), Generals
Without Caps / Chronology of Committee for Human rights (1996), The
Power Network (2012), France Bučar / Biography of president of Slovenian
Parliament (2015), Prisoners of Networks (2018), A Years of Dangerous
Closeness / What Went Wrong During Pandemic of Covid-19 in Slovenia
(2021), A Year of Dangerous Mutations (2022).
Žerdin is a
collector of historic newspapers and magazines. From time to time some
parts of his collection are exhibited and labeled as Museum of Press.
