Ole Aggo Markussen has more than 16 years of leadership experience across key sectors in Greenland, including government, energy, fisheries, employer organizations, and media. He has worked extensively with strategic development, political processes, communication, and facilitation, and is fluent in Greenlandic, Danish, and English.

His career includes senior roles in the Government of Greenland (Home Rule/Self-Government) as ministerial secretary, director of the employers’ association NUSUKA, and coordination and secretariat chief at Nukissiorfiit, where he led strategic initiatives, organizational development, and communication. Earlier, he served as IT chief and consultant within the Home Rule administration and as a member of several national commissions on self-government, fisheries, and IT strategy.

Ole has significant experience in the fisheries sector, including as land coordinator for Arctic Prime Fisheries in South Greenland, where he managed community engagement, labor negotiations, regulatory communication, and quality systems. He is also co-owner of id.gl, where he has facilitated major conferences, delivered consultancy projects, and worked on translation and communication tasks for public and private clients.

Alongside his management and policy background, Ole has worked in journalism as editor-in-chief of Nunarput.gl. He holds a BA in Journalism from Ilisimatusarfik and has completed further studies in international marketing, supply chain management, leadership development, and public-sector IT strategy.
