Ramón González Férriz (Barcelona, 1977) is a Spanish journalist and a book author. He works as a columnist at El Confidencial, Spain’s leading digital newspaper.
Previously, González Férriz worked as an associate editor at Política Exterior, a journal on foreign affairs, an editor of Ahora, a weekly newspaper, and he was a deputy editor of Letras Libres, a cultural monthly magazine.
He worked as an analyst for Cadena Ser, Spain’s leading private news station, as well as for the public broadcaster, Radio Nacional de Espana. His comments on Spanish politics have been quoted by The Economist, The New York Times, The New Yorker and other international newspapers.
González Férriz authored several books. The lates title is La trampa del optimismo. Cómo los años noventa explican el mundo actual (2020, Debate).
His new book, Los años peligrosos. Por qué la política se ha vuelto radical (Penguin Random House) is expected in January 2024.
