Daniela Prugger is a freelance correspondent based in Kyiv. Since 2019, she has been reporting from Ukraine for German and English-language media. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, she has been working for Der Standard (Austria), WOZ (Switzerland), ff (South Tyrol), as well as the radio programs of ORF and RAI. In 2023, she was awarded the Claus Gatterer Prize.
As fourth anniversary of the Russia’s invasion of Ukraine approaches, Ukrainian society and politics have undergone profound changes. Daniela Prugger has been witnessing firsthand these changes and challenges as well as the oscillations in media interest in Ukraine.
