Roberto Weber (1952, Trieste) is a specialist in communication, and public opinion analysis, focusing on political and social attitudes. Prior to founding the Instituto Ixé, in 2013, Weber founded and presided, for almost three decades, the public opinion research institute SWG. As a public opinion expert, Weber has been analysing the Italian society for diverse local and national media, including the Trieste daily Il Piccolo, and the national public television, RAI 3.
From 1996 to 2001, Weber advised different governments on opinion polls. Until 2013 he advised a series of center-left politicians- Achile Ochetto, Romano Prodi, Massimo D`Alema, Piero Fassino- during their political campaigns.
As a passionate jogger, Weber wrote a book: Perché corriamo. His other books focus on politics: Miss Melandri e le parole magiche and I nuovi barbari.
