Elvedin Nezirović (1976, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina) is an award-winning writer of prose and poetry, journalist, and director of the Pavarotti Music Centre in Mostar.
In his ethnically divided city, where Croats and Bosniaks run parallel lives and institutions, Nezirović uses culture to build bridges. In 2017 he obtained the Mimar mira award (Peace Builder Award) for his contribution to peacebuilding, coexistence and inter-ethnic trust. The award was given by the Centre for Peace and Multiethnic Cooperation in Mostar.
As a journalist, Nezirovic worked for diverse news outlets: Radio Free Europe Sarajevo, Radio Old Bridge Mostar, Radio X Mostar, Gracija magazine and Hercegovina newspaper. Currently he is a regular contributor of the tacno.net portal.
Nezirović has a BA in Bosnian Language and Literature, as well as in English Language and Literature, from the Dzemal Bijedic University in Mostar.
